I have read the first 5 books and now I am enjoying the TV show its one of the best new shows this years.

It seems to have been a while since his last visit to the town.
Damon Salvatore's father Giuseppe Salvatore was always
disapproving of Damon and Giuseppe was a vampire hunter.
Damon is of Italian Descendant.
His personality is a lot different to that of his brother. He comes across as
quite arrogant at times and shows no remorse for the killings he has committed

and green eyes. He appears quite serious and often sad, though has a very
engaging smile. He has a tattoo of a rose on his right shoulder
Stefan was born in 1847 making him 162 yrs old and originally came
from Mystic Falls, Virginia.
It seems to he has not visited since 1953

Elena Gilbert is melancholy and slightly withdrawn and not
long after meeting Stefan her personality begins to change possibly to
one she had before the series. while normally in control of her emotions she
is known to have outbursts when the occasion calls for it such as discovering
Stefan being a vampire, the revelation of her looking exactly like Katherine,
and the fact she is adopted and descended somehow from Katherine however she
is quick to forgive once explanations have been provided.

Jenna Sommers Jenna Sommers admitted that she used narcotics recreationally,
although she doesn't do so presently. She had a relationship with Logan Fell
while students at Mystic Falls High School. Their relationship ended badly due
infidelity by Logan and Jenna left Mystic Falls and only returned after the
sudden drowning deaths of her older sister, Miranda, and her brother-in-law,
Grayson Gilbert. She is working on her Master of Arts in psychology.
She resides at the home of her late sister and brother-in-law with their
orphaned daughter and son. She is sole legal guarding for her niece, Elena,
and nephew, Jeremy.
