Dan Euan Henderson is the type of guy that I'd love to see my sister bring home. Confident, but not cocky. Sensitive, but not sappy, he's one of the most genuinely inspirational guys out there right now and clearly he's doing something right as his dedicated fans jump on his every word. We wanted to get to know the man himself a little better, so we caught up for a chat about all things positive and motivational...

Q1) Hi Dan! Can you introduce yourself, please?

I’m Daniel, the Scottish guy that you may have seen in videos wearing no t-shirt. I love making videos that are positive and helping people with issues around body shaming, bullying, anxiety, depression and relationships.

Q2) Who inspires, motivates and pushes you every single day?

My mum and dad and brother have been there through the celebrations and the tears. If I have setbacks they're there and if I'm successful, they keep me planted.

Q3) Why do you feel so inspired to inspire?

I always want to make people feel like they aren’t alone and that they ARE worth a lot. We as individuals are in control of our destiny and we are all equal. No individual is necessarily better than the next.

Q4) You seem like a bit of a romantic, is that fair to say?!

I guess I am romantic at times. In society nowadays, being loving, sweet and gentle can give you the reputation of being corny, cheesy and weak. This is something I try to put out and I do push it at times. I don’t like to conform.

Q5) What makes a girl really stand out to you, what initially draws you to someone?

I like when a girl is completely herself. A lot of people are caught up with looks and fitting in or being ‘sexy’ but when everyone has the same makeup, hair and clothes, it’s difficult to pick someone out, so I tend to get on with the natural girl who doesn't take herself too seriously and isn't afraid to smile.

Q6) What’s the most romantic thing you’ve ever done for that special someone?

I wrote little cute letters for her sometimes, just because I thought it would be more personal than a text. I also did a charity race for the disease her dad was critically ill with.

Q7) What’s the most difficult thing about being a teenager?

Trust me , hard work pays off much more than talent alone...
The acne, the hormones, the pressure... I used to get so depressed and it was genuinely horrible. Girls still liked me though, which was weird, because I thought I was gross. I guess the worst part about being a teenager is the uncertainty, really.

Q8) What advice would you give your 15-year-old self?

"Daniel, you are gonna be successful one day , you have every tool that you need to actually succeed in life. Your family have paid so much for your education and hobbies, so appreciate them and love them more. Don’t dismiss the people trying to help you."

When you're younger, you have this perception that you won’t become successful because it’s only the really gifted people who do. Hard work pays off much more than talent alone.

Q9) What are your biggest hopes and dreams for the future?

To travel the world and Vlog about it but at the same time, inspire people. I want to speak to billions of people and to actually influence people to think positively in a world saturated with wars, corruption and media brainwashing. I like to give people a light at the end of the tunnel. I want people to think freely and not care about what others think.

Q10) Finally, can you sign us off with a hashtag that perfectly encapsulates ‘you’?

#LovingEveryoneFearingNothing
